I can’t get the metadata of the 10.3389/fmars.2024.1347990 DOI :

api crossref org works 10.3389/fmars.2024.1347990

→ no ressource found

Is there a problem with this article ?

How does it work ? As soon as the DOI is activated, shouldn’t it be searchable via the API ?

Hello, and thanks for your question.

No, not immediately. it can take up to 48 hours for a newly registered DOI to be indexed in the REST API.

10.3389/fmars.2024.1347990 was only registered around 10 hours ago. So, it’s expected that it’s not queryable via the REST API yet.

Newly registered DOIs are more immediately available via the XML API, like this:
https://0-doi-crossref-org.library.alliant.edu/search/doi?pid=[your-email-address-here]&format=unixsd&doi=10.3389/fmars.2024.1347990
