As 2021 draws to a close, it’s time to take a look back at all the work you’ve done in the past year. For those members using the Similarity Check service, this means taking a look at the number of documents you’ve checked in 2021.
If you subscribe to the Similarity Check service, your annual Similarity Check service fee will be included with your annual Crossref membership fee invoice in January 2022, but you’ll also receive a separate invoice in January for the total number of documents you checked in the past year. (If you work with a sponsor, this invoice will be sent to your sponsor).
If you’re keen to get an idea of what this number will be, there is a way for you to check yourself, by following the below instructions:
(Please note: These are only instructions for how to check the number of documents checked in iThenticate v1. If you are using iThenticate v2, please visit us here for more information.)
-Log into your iThenticate account.
-Go to the “Manage Users” tab.
-Within this tab, click on the smaller tab titled “Reports”.
-Choose “Set Date Range”.
-Set the date range as you’d like.
-Click Update Date Range.
-You’ll then see a list of the different users on your account and the number of documents they have checked, under the heading “Submissions”.
-Under the heading “Document count”, this will be the approximate number of documents you will be billed for.
-And remember, your first 100 documents each year are free, so we’ll subtract 100 documents from your total.
Please keep in mind that this is just an estimate, and your actual invoice may differ slightly. Also, volume discounts do apply, so visit our fees page here to see your cost per-document.
We do hope this helps you get an idea of what your Similarity Check per-document invoice will be, but do let us know if you have questions or concerns as the end of the year approaches.
